Glyph Updates GT 062 to include RAID 1.

New York, NY - After shipping the GT 062 for 10 months with three drive modes, Glyph has introduced RAID 1 as a fourth drive mode. RAID 1 offers data redundancy and real-time backup by writing the same data to the two hard drives at the same time. Should a drive failure happen, data is still available on the remaining drive.

Glyph Shows FireWire 800 versions of GT Series at AES.

New York, NY - Glyph will demonstrate FireWire 800 versions of the GT Series at the AES Show in New York. FireWire 800 removable drives and enclosures are 100% compatible with the original FireWire 400 GT Series. The new FW800 versions use Oxford's 924 chip with Seagate's SATA drive technology, and feature bus speeds roughly double that of FireWire 400.
