Disk to Tape backup

The miSAN-V Series solutions are available with an integrated tape drive for server-less tape export for off-site archives. Just 2U of rack space includes a disk-based virtual tape library with up to 6TB, plus easy export of 400 GB - 1.2 TB per removable tape media.

Configurations galore

The miSAN can be configured with up to 6TB of RAID 5 + hot spare capacity, with a tape drive. Tape formats available are AIT-3, AIT-5, and LTO-4. Seagate SATA II drives are used exclusively. Ethernet ports include two gigabit ports for data, and one gigabit port for management. The power supplies and drives are hot-swappable and redundant. The tape drive is removable for easy swap. Includes a web configuration utility.

# Supported backup systems include: Retrospect, Mezzo, Symantec Backup Exec and Net Backup, ARCserve, etc. The miSAN is operating System independent, with true block level capacity to heterogeneous hosts with common hardware. It supports iSCSI network attach and SCSI local attach, and 200 MB/sec sustained transfer rate.
